Included are 10 multiple choice questions and four extra credit short-response questions. The questions are embedded with direct quotes, literary elements, close-reading practices, high-level vocabulary, and key plot points.
Created with the objective that students will deepen both their comprehension and their analysis of this rich and dynamic novel by being prompted to go back to the text to ferret out the correct answer, thereby necessitating close reading skills of key narrative moments while simultaneously strengthening their process of elimination and test-taking skills.
This Chapter Review can work as a test, a quiz, a homework assignment, a chapter reading check, or an anticipatory guide. It also functions well as a discussion guide that teachers can complete together with the students to facilitate a Socratic Seminar or as a form of guided practice to develop critical close-reading skills. The extra credit questions can easily be adapted to enrichment questions. Answer key is included.
Materials are uploaded as Word docs for easy editing to best suit your classroom needs.
