These questions guide students through a close analysis of chapter four of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby. Students work through the text, carefully rereading and focusing on analyzing characters, building symbolism and themes, understanding the purpose of catalog, using textual evidence, and making inferences about the text. The questions can be used for individual analysis or small- or whole-group discussion of the text. They can also be left for substitutes!
The Microsoft Word document is fully editable, so you can decide what questions you want your students to answer!
All page references refer to the Scribner 2004 edition.
These questions build on the analysis questions for chapters one to three, which you can try for FREE!
