This is a collection of student study guides for The Great Gatsby. Each study guide is one to two pages in length. Each study guide has a section of easy, comprehension-level questions and then a more thought-provoking set of analysis questions. The analysis questions will, for the most part, require some time, some thought, and some short, essay-style answers.
These make for great homework assignments, great in-class group assignments, great individual class-time assignments, or great pre-discussion assignments. I typically have students complete these at home, and then use the analysis prompts to guide us through an in-class discussion-this way, the students have worked over the ideas and have something to say.
The package includes a set of answer keys for all study guides.
Note: these study guides are very similar to the quiz and discussion guide folder I have for the same book. They are, with a few exceptions, re-formatted versions of those documents-so, don't buy both. Both do come, however, with many other activities and tests, in my The Great Gatsby unit. That unit is, of course also available here at Teacherspayteachers.
