Product Description
This is a reading activity for students to complete as they read the first two chapters of the novel, The Great Gatsby. As students encounter the major characters of Jordan Baker, Tom Buchanan, Daisy Buchanan, and Myrtle Wilson they should envision that they are Nick Carraway, meeting these unique characters for the first time.

In the graphic organizer's first box, students should note their first impressions in their own words. In the second box, they should record quotes and descriptions directly from the text. Finally, they should use the textual evidence and their own impressions to create a drawing, or graphic representation of the character in the box on the right.
