Want to keep students accountable for reading homework WITHOUT wasting hours grading short-answer reading check quizzes? Want to prevent students from cheating by telling later class periods the answers? (Me too)
Look no further, because I've spent hours creating 3 versions of 3-question reading check quizzes for each chapter of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. These efficient quizzes have been a game-changer in my classroom, and they allow me to quickly see who is reading vs. who is not.
Keep in mind these are simple comprehension quizzes designed to check if students did their reading homework and comprehended it. While these questions are not analysis questions, they DO catalyze some great discussions that require critical thinking. I've found them very helpful as a lead-in to my lessons following the reading of each chapter, and I hope you will, too.
These quizzes are bookmark-sized (3 per page) for efficient printing. This bundle contains 40 pages of quizzes: 30 quizzes, with accompanying answer keys. (It's 10 because Chapter 7 is broken up into two sections -- pre- and post- the Plaza Hotel scene).
