The Great Gatsby is such a monumental read for teenagers. After Gatsby’s death and the novel closes, teachers often move directly to summative unit assessments without a chance to review the final three chapters or offer students an opportunity to read deeply for style, purpose, and persuasive appeal.
This engaging activity was created as a mini project-based learning (PBL) group formative assessment to re-read for evidence and details, practice arguments and claims, collaborate in groups to review and critically think, and to present orally the findings of the group.
