FOR PURCHASE ONLY TO BUYERS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES
The Great Gatsby has been in the public domain in Korea and other countries outside the United States for a number of years; however, it remains under the United State's recently extended copyright protection until 2019. Before purchasing, please ensure this classic story is not still copyright protected where you reside. Thank you.
*****************************************************************************
Korean English learners can now read and enjoy this classic American story that contains only vocabulary on the Basic English Word List. F. Scott Fitzgerald's tragic, rags to riches tale set during the age of flappers and the Roaring 20s has been edited for English language students to enjoy reading while at the same time learning, reviewing, and recycling their required vocabulary. The few words that are needed to understand the story but are not on the BEWL are also included but now they appear 10+ times throughout the story to ensure students can learn them while reading.

IMPROVE PRODUCTIVE SKILLS
**************************
Students will see the words on the lists they are studying for their English classes come to life in different forms and in different sentence structures. By encountering vocabulary in the context of classic literature, students will see how they can use the words in their own writing and speaking.

FREE and FUN WORD STUDY
************************
Students will find a link on the first page of each story to a site where they can study and review just the words in the story before or after they read using flash cards, games, spelling and listening practice, and self-made multiple choice and fill-in quizzes. The easy to understand definitions also include Korean translations by Google Translate, Bab.la, and Babylon.

***************************************
OPPORTUNITIES FOR REPEATED ENCOUNTERS
***************************************
Acquiring vocabulary incidentally through reading is best achieved over time with repeated encounters with the target words. Students can begin their extensive reading with the free short story of Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp (10 pages), then move on to the novella The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (45 pages). The short novel, The Great Gatsby (only available for purchase outside the United States) is 96 pages and contains even more of the words on the BEWL. Jane Austen's full-length classic novel Pride and Prejudice (223 pages) rounds out the series.
