This product is a collection of original handouts with comprehension questions and charts to be completed while reading the novel Jake Reinvented by Gordon Korman.
Each handout asks students to consider how the characters and plot of Jake Reinvented compares and contrasts to The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Therefore, students must have read The Great Gatsby in order to complete the questions on these handouts. In many cases, the handout is a chart which states an event or character from The Great Gatsby and students are required to explain who the character represents or how the event was represented in Jake Reinvented.
The handouts are broken down by chapters, so students could independently read Jake Reinvented and complete the handouts individually.
These handouts are broken into 5 sections:
Each individual handout is broken down further to label the comprehension questions or chart by each chapter.
*Note: In the TpT generated images, the handouts are not correctly aligned (title of the next handout is on the bottom of the previous handout). This is not the way it appears in the product I uploaded.
