The Great Kapok Tree tells the story of some animals in the Amazon Rainforest who try to convince a man not to cut down a Kapok Tree. They tell him all of the ways he will alter the environment if he chooses to cut it down.
Use this product to teach cause and effect. Students will make a chart (either personally or as a class) to take notes on all of the speakers and what effect they say the man will have. Included is a create-your-own layers of the rainforest activity, as well as a vocabulary list and additional extension ideas.
