Use these flip books or task cards with any student working on the /r/ sound who is ready for a challenge. This set contains 8 complete leveled flip books/task card sets:

2 Initial R
2 Medial R
2 Final R
2 R Blends

Each 7-page book/task card set contains lists of words, phrases, carrier phrases and sentences to practice, as well as a challenge activity on each page. Challenges include racing the clock, using more than one target word in a phrase, and adding a phrase to make a silly sentence. Each book also contains a paragraph to read aloud and a challenging word puzzle to encourage carryover and conversation.

You decide how you'd like to use them: Print them on regular printer paper, cut and assemble them in under 5 minutes for resource the students can take home, or print them on card stock, laminate and cut for a durable resource you can use again and again.

Present these books/sets to your students one page at a time, or as a complete book/set. Work through it at your own pace - do a page per session, or do three!

Keep track of your students' progress with the handy data sheet included in this download. Encourage students to monitor their own progress by filling in the number of correct sounds produced on each page.

Whether a student completes a page or an entire challenge set, reward them with a fun BRAG TAG! 24 are included in this download.

This product works great with individuals or groups, and can even be used with mixed groups! The word puzzle pages are great for working on language goals, too!
