Math Game: Naming and renaming numbers including 3 digits
Name: The Great Space Chase
Recognise, model, read, write and order numbers to at least 100. Locate these numbers on a number line

1‐4 Players (Varying abilities – extension game)
Players will Start at the Sun and travel through the universe to Neptune, by being challenged with
naming and renaming numbers up to 3 digits and the sequence of planet names and their spelling.
Players will place markers on Sun to start game
Players will determine who plays first by either rolling a die for the highest number or using
alternative methods i.e. the taller of the two will start.
The first player will answer the first question in card stack.
If the player gets the fact right, they will role (1) 6 sided die and move their marker to the number on the die. If the player gets it wrong, they do not move and the next player picks up a card.
Each Player must answer a minimum of 2 correct questions in order to move to the next planet. Questions must be answered first prior to rolling.
For example, If a player lands on a 5 on the first role and next roles a 2, they will move directly onto the planet ahead. Players are not allowed to skip planets, only stop on the planet ahead.
The game continues all the way to Neptune.
A minimum of 18 questions must be answered in order to complete the game.
If play interrupts, players can resume from the previous planet during the next game.
