Use graphics and visuals to teach about Greek mythology's Olympians!
Two worksheets are included: one is a family tree worksheet, showing the Olympian's family lineage with questions about family relations. The other is a graphic organizer that provides the Greek and Roman name for each of the twelve Olympians as well as a picture of his/her symbols. Students must complete the graphic organizer by identifying each god or goddess's parents and children, what they are the god or goddess of, and personality traits. These can be deduced from reading any translation of a Greek myth.
Quiz assesses students on understanding of the twelve Olympians and their ruling domains, the family tree lineage, and quotations from the myths itself. Can be modified to fit your text. (Quotations pulled from the text Heroes, Gods and Monsters of the Greek myths by Bernard Evslin).
