This is a short social story about going to the grocery store .The story deals with the steps needed when one runs out of food at home. The story deals with what store to get food at, how to write a shopping list, and the steps and sequence needed to shop at a grocery store. There is also a comprehension worksheet that asks the WH questions regarding the story. The story was created using the Boardmaker program using a mix of real life visuals and BoardMaker/Mayer-Johnson Symbols. This is a great story to use during Life Skills or ELA class. It is a functional academic story that is meant to increase student independence in their daily lives.
