This is an art lesson for Kindergarten students. It goes along with the book by Eric Carle, called The Grouchy Ladybug. I use it with my Kindergarten students as an art lesson about color and contrast. It is a wonderful lesson and my students LOVE it! I have included the lesson plan, some ladybug shapes (for reference or to use as templates), and sample photos of finished projects. I do not allow the students to use a tracer for this project simply because I do the lesson in the spring and they should start to learn how to draw simple shapes in art. This project would be good for special needs/Special Education/Occupational therapy for fine motor skills (drawing, cutting). Enjoy!!
