Product Description
The Growth of Rock Music Unit is a group activity that explores how seven rock n roll songs spanning 1957 and 1974 reveal the cultural, technological, and social changes that took place during those years, which parallel the coming of age of the baby boom generation, It involves music listening, poetic analysis of lyrics, and class presentations, and it is most effective with grades 11 and 12 high school students in English or history classes. I have taught this unit in one form or another since 1974 to students of varying ages, and it is always a success,
