The Gummy Bear Experiment: A Lab Experiment to Assist Teaching the Scientific Process to Elementary School Students.
I have created these instructional materials to expand upon what I have researched and experienced in the classroom when conducting this experiment. I hope these instructional materials can assist you in your teaching practice.
You can print out each page in its original size 8 ½” x 11” and create a booklet using pages 5-16 in this file. The student handouts are numbered for your convenience. If you use a Science Notebook, you can minimize the pages into half pages and have the students glue the pages into their Science composition book or Science spiral notebook.
In this experiment, students will learn the scientific process.
They will learn to:
• make observations.
• pose a question or questions.
• research (a brief background on gummy bears).
• form a hypothesis.
• conduct an experiment.
• analyze or record the data as well as present the data in bar graphs.
• write a conclusion on their findings and experiences.
Please take the time to provide a rating and feedback on the website.
