For this assignments, students must draw the main events for each box and the pages listed inside the box. This can sometimes be a challenge for my students, because it forces them to think of the main idea for each of the pages listed, and then which details are important to include in the pictures, and which smaller details can be left out.
I have completed the first comic strip box as a sample for students. To discourage lazy, junky drawings, I tell my students they MUST show setting, action, and conversation (even if it's one character speaking to themselves).
