    Bundle Description
    This GINORMOUS bundle has all of the units that cover most of the social studies standards for 4th grade.

    Note: These standards are based on Tennessee's state standards☚

    The units each have a variety of nonfiction reading comprehension passages. Each of these have questions that allow students to color code their answers using text evidence. Included with these passages will be visuals, vocabulary, a few writing opportunities, research activities, QR codes to help deepen students' understanding, class projects, and interactive notebook pieces. There are no lesson plans, but instead it has EVERYTHING you need to add to your own plans. You can pick which activities you would like to use, or not.

    This set is vital for any teacher trying to use their valuable time more efficiently.

    My motto is "Work smarter, not harder." All you have to do is pick your standard, print the pages you need for it, and add it to your own lesson plan! This set will save you HOURS of work (I know because this set took me over 150hours to create;). It is also more relevant than most text books for social studies. How do I know? I used to teach these standards from a text book ... hence my creating these units. What makes this set even better is that you can use it in your reading block and apply reading standards!

    4.RI.CS.5 Describe the overall structure of events, ideas, and concepts of information in a text or part of a text.

    4.RI.IKI.7 Interpret information presented visually, orally, or quantitatively and explain how the information contributes to an understanding of the text in which it appears.

    4.RI.RRTC.10 Read and comprehend stories and informational texts throughout the grades 4-5 text complexity band proficiently, with scaffolding at the high end as needed.

    4.SL.PKI.4 Report on a topic or text, tell a story, or recount an experience in an organized manner, using appropriate facts and relevant, descriptive details to support main ideas or themes; speak clearly at an understandable pace.

    4.W.TTP.1 Write opinion pieces on topics or texts, supporting a point of view with reasons and information. a. Introduce a topic or text. b. Develop an opinion with reasons that are supported by facts and details. c. Create an organizational structure in which related ideas are grouped to support the writer’s purpose. d. Provide a concluding statement or section related to the opinion presented. e. Link opinion and reasons using words and phrases.
