I went to the website below and found 18 different children who went through the Holocaust that were similar to my students ages (although there are also some very young children thrown in to). I printed off each child's story onto a piece of paper. (For larger classes, you might need two copies of each story). The activity was for students to look over the children's story and then pick 2 they wanted to look at in more detail. The worksheet provided asks them for basic information on each child and their family. (Note: For some of the children, there is not enough information to fully answer each question.) This activity helps the students to relate to the victims of the Holocaust and understand the gravity of the situation.
