This is a literature study of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It contains activities for every chapter of the book. Students will analyze characters, setting, and identify rising action, climax, and resolution. There are various group actvities, as well as, lessons on symbolism, a found poem about Haymitch, and even a haiku for Rue! Students will also look at the ethics and motivation behind reality television, and discover the uses behind various medicinal and edible plants. The study culminates with a book review and a test which is in state testing format and covers the figurative language in The Hunger Games.
