This worksheet clearly explains the three types of irony--verbal, situational, and dramatic--through Disney film references. To begin this lesson, you could easily find clips of each of the films listed on YouTube, and begin by introducing irony in that way. It then asks students to analyze evidence, decide on the type of irony that is displayed, and to explain why the evidence presented demonstrates irony. At the end of the worksheet, there is the opportunity for the student to reflect upon the impact that irony has on the story in a short, text dependent answer. This worksheet can be done through collaboration, or individually. It is suited for both homework and classwork, as the teacher decides.
