This packet was created for a simple way to incorporate writing, science and reading to go along with The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Have students read the sentences about each event in the story.
Then they will cut apart the words and put them in order.
Once all pages are finished, the students can put the pages in order
to create a ‘book’ about the caterpillar.
There is a 7 comprehension questions to do as a follow up.
There is a 4 picture sequence to focus on the life cycle of the butterfly.
The last set of pictures and numbers are icons I use for my special
education students. We use these picture icons to help keep students paying attention to the story as it’s being read aloud. When their ‘picture’ comes up in the story, they come and match it to the picture with velcro.
