Who was this resource created for?
I created this incentive chart for young ELL students, ages five through eight. The Hungry Monkey chart is a great visual for both the physical and online classroom. With this chart, you can reward students by having them "feed the monkey bananas". They can choose where they want the monkey to hold the banana, they might be silly and decide to put it on the monkey's head! It is a fun and engaging incentive!
This is also a great reward chart for young students with disabilities such as Autism and Down Syndrome. This reward chart is visual and tactile. After you set it up, students can physically put the bananas on the chart. You can track the bananas they earn with a data collection sheet.
What does this resource include?
-Black and White and Colored versions of the charts and bananas
-Two different incentive charts, one with few written cues and another with a written explanation on how to earn and lose bananas.
-Data Collection Sheet
This resource requires lamination and hook and loop fastener.
How do I use this resources?
Print, laminate, add hook and loop fastener! Follow the set-up instructions included to create a fun and engaging rewards chart for young students. This could even be used for toilet training. The possibilities are endless!
