"Fill in the blanks" summary of events in The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.
There are three pages (one for each act) for students to complete. At the end of each section, a word bank is provided to assist students.
This is an active learning activity. It could be used as revision when study of the play is complete. It could be used as you work through the play to create summary notes.
This is a useful approach for weaker students or EAL students who need support and cannot write their own summaries. You could use it for assessment or as homework, or as a filler when you have nothing else prepared. Students often see this type of task as easy or fun, but they are still actively learning when doing it.
The three page solution is included.
