Description

This is a wonderful end of year activity and is meant to be completed after reading aloud The Important Book by Margaret Wise Brown.

Students will each create their own "Important Book", which is a hamburger folded card. The outside has a place to put their name
“The Important Book About ___________” After students fill out the front with their name, they open the card/book and will see lines. They will fill in their name only in that part. They will then pass this "Important Book" around the classroom so that each classmate can write something positive about them. When all classmates have contributed, the teacher writes on the back of the card/book, filling in "The Most Important Thing About" that student.

This is a wonderful way for students to recognize their classmates in a positive way. Students will smile when they read what their classmates and teacher think about them and treasure this card/book for a long time.
