Do your students hold preconceived notions about mathematicians? It's hugely important that our students see themselves as mathematicians! Use this activity after a discussion about famous mathematicians or after introducing the Standards for Mathematical Practice (CCSS) or Process Standards (TEKS, NCTM) to help create the climate for learning in your classroom.
Both primary (lined for writing) and intermediate versions of two different formats. Also a page with just a self-portrait.
