The Industrial Revolution, developing first in eighteenth-century Britain, gave rise to economic changes that have had an enormous impact on society. An obvious result was urbanisation, but the Industrial Revolution also contributed to other population movements such as the slave trade, emigration and convict transportation, and also encouraged ideologies and movements such as European Nationalism and Imperialism.
These flip-tab books provide an engaging and interactive task for students to use when researching the various ideologies and movements that arose during the Industrial Revolution. These flip-tab books focus on 7 ideologies or movements, and ask students to research the:
- Responses; and
- how it has influenced today's society.
