The Interactive Classroom
In The Interactive Classroom Professional Development Series, teachers can learn the key strategies to transform their classrooms into an immersive, differentiated, and engaging learning experience.

Based on professional development sessions provided at state and national conferences or in private district meetings, this set of video shorts provides the step-by-step directions needed for implementing the strategies that can bring your students back into their own learning process.

While many districts are going 1:1 to engage students, others are looking for ways to keep students engaged and excited about learning without the online element. Viewing these sessions and applying the simple lessons on tried and true strategies will allow your classroom to stay unplugged while keeping your students plugged in!

The Walking Tour
In this first session, we will introduce a Walking Tour or Gallery Walk for the secondary classroom. Walking Tours work well to provide large amounts of content, incorporate chunk reading strategies, and encourage analysis and critical thinking while allowing your students to be up and moving as they learn.

Use the accompanying BRAGS Sheet to examine your preconceived notions on interactivity in your classroom, to brainstorm your own ideas, and to record the valuable take-aways you will get from this professional development short.

Investigate this strategy as an individual classroom teacher, or purchase multiple licenses to present this quality video to a whole department or school. With approval from your district, this video series could help you meet professional development hours while learning real and valuable strategies that can truly transform your classroom, your teaching, and your students!

*While Social Studies and ELA resources are used to implement this strategy, the strategy itself is a valuable tool for use in any classroom for grades 4 and up.
