The Invention of Wings is another great novel by Sue Monk Kidd!
This quiz for Part Two includes:
18 multiple-choice comprehension questions
1 writing prompt
Answer Key for multiple-choice questions and suggested rubric for grading prompt
Quiz in 2 Versions - answer choices are scrambled to deter cheaters. If anyone copies from a different version, every single question will be wrong.
I have separated each chapter on the quiz in case you want to quiz your students as they read rather than waiting until the end of each part. The questions are in order by chapter. I have also included a tip to keep all of these small chapters straight. I found that as I was making lessons for this book the same titles for each chapter made it difficult to keep them straight, so I propose a solution for that in this packet.
Note: Though there are some questions that require critical thinking, I prefer chapter quizzes to be mainly comprehension to reward students for reading the assigned material. I generally save the higher order questions for the final test. This way, students can apply knowledge, infer, analyze/synthesize, and draw conclusions from the entire book rather than one chapter.
