These are three of my own very short stories (1 page long each) which I use as in-class examples for literary breakdowns.
I try to emphasize with my students that all we are doing is practicing these skills. The repetition of analyzing three quick stories in a row has great value. This same process will help them tremendously when they get to longer works.
There is a mini-mystery in each story, and some students see it right away while others take a minute. This makes for lively class discussion.
