Pg. 28-30 Proper Nouns! - a flip it book to help you recognize and practice proper nouns – copy pages A and B back to back – fold on the solid lines, cut on the dotted lines – flip up the flaps and make lists of proper nouns – choose one from each category to be used in a sentence on the back – this is for the 2012 version but can be used anytime during the year for proper noun practice
Pg. 31-35 Follow Me! - a craft and writing activity – pretend you are a whale migrating – use great word choices in your writing to describe what it is like – copy off as many writing pages as needed – I used blue paper but you can use white paper as well – copy off the patterns for the cover and the whale – glue the whale onto a light blue back drop – use a white crayon to create the water spout – cut out the cover and staple the cover and writing papers to the left side to create a flap book
