Includes activities in which students close read a chapter from The Jungle and an opinion piece from The New York Times about the continuing relevance of Sinclair's expose. Also, students are prompted to create a political cartoon pertaining to The Jungle or current issues in the food industry utilizing common concepts used by yesterdays & today's leading cartoonists.
