Crossword puzzle (with solution). This is a vocabulary quiz, designed to cement in students' minds the meanings of 29 key words useful in description and analysis of the plot of the 2010 movie.
Words used in the puzzle are abdicate, audience, audition, broadcast, commoner, coronation, crisis, cure, diction, divorce, elocution, empire, etiquette, grave, impediment, king, larynx, microphone, monarch, protocol, public-speaking, qualification, reign, shilling, speech, speech-therapy, stammer, treason, and unorthodox.
This is a fun activity which students enjoy. Many don't even see this as work, although they are working on expanding their vocabulary and spelling skills. A useful add-on exercise is to ask students to write a new sentence for each word. This could be done with no restrictions, or you could ask them to write a sentence which shows their understanding of how each work is relevant to the plot. In this way, you are reinforcing their knowledge of the text.

A word bank is included to assist students. You could redact this to make the activity more challenging.
