This simple activity can be used as a post-reading activity for close-reading and the identification of Literary Elements. Students may work in groups and share out, or work independently. Groups may either trace each element within an assigned chapter or focus on a single element throughout all three chapters. This simple handout will help provide a rich and shared open discussion review of these three chapters. As a bonus, I am also including some guided reading questions that can be answered either during or post-reading, and a comparison / contrast prompt.
