Color Me By Words To Know: Students practice the “Words to Know” of the week through this coloring activity.
Roll-A-Spelling Word: This is a spelling activity that you will also need dice. They will roll to see what word to write.
Word Team-Up: This is a cut and paste activity to practice the spelling words of the week.
Vocab Flash Cards: Students practice their understanding of the vocabulary words. They draw a picture of each word to help them know what each word means.
Story Structure Kites: This is a craft and writing activity where students practice writing out the story structure of the week’s selection.
Froggie Predictions: This is a sheet that can be used with any book to make predictions.
Homograph Interactive Notebook Page: This is an interactive journal page to practice the Vocab strategy of the week.
How Many Homographs can you think of?: Another activity I suggest doing after the interactive journal page to make sure they understand what Homographs are.
“My Selfie Moment” Friend Writing + Art: This is an adorable activity where students think of a fun time they had with a friend, and turn it into a “Selfie Moment”.
Spelling Practice: Students will read, trace, write, and rainbow write the spelling words of the week.
“The Kite” Tri-Fold: Print these sheets front to back. Students fold it like a brochure. Fill it out about the week’s selection
