This listening lesson guides students through the process of making a listening map by following the melodic contour of "The Lark Ascending."
The presentation will take you through a brief history of the composer, piece and corresponding poem. Then it asks you to listen to the piece and engage your students with a simple lark puppet. Eventually it invites them to create an easy listening map. The puppet pattern and blank listening map worksheets are included.
