6 Primary Sources are included in this assignment.
1) Develop their ability to analyze primary sources
2) Develop their ability to write thesis statements
3) Analyze push/pull factors for immigration to Canada between 1896-1914.
Students must first read the primary sources. It is best to analyze one together as a class and fill out the chart accordingly together. In this way, students become familiar with the process.
Once all the data is collected, students will answer the three questions with the aim of practicing writing a thesis. Their thesis should be clear and concise.
