Based on a well-known and well-loved French game called « The Laughing Pig », here are two games to practise body parts and parts of the face.
Players will throw the dice to get what they need to build a skeleton or a Jack o’lantern. What part they get is determined by the number they roll (see guiding sheets) They need to get the backbone of the skeleton or the face of the Jack o’lantern first.
The first player who can complete their skeleton or Jack o’lantern wins.
Extension activities for the Laughing Jack o’lantern.
After all players complete their pumpkins, they will have to describe them.
There are 4 levels of difficulty for effective differentiation.
For the Laughing Skeleton, print and laminate one skeleton per player. Each bone must be laminated separately.
For the Laughing Jack o’lantern, print and laminate each part once only. Players get to choose their pumpkin’s details. Each part, including eyes must be laminated separately!
