This is a great activity to get your students engaged and working together. I use this team-building challenge at the beginning of the school year with fourth graders (this can work up through college level). Basically, students are given 4 "learn something new" choices (i.e. make an origami dolphin, learn to moonwalk, etc) and are given 30 minutes to learn the skill as a group. They may use our classroom computers, look in books, or ask each other for help. Only one computer per group needed. After finishing the challenge they reflect on what they learn, present to the class and explain how working together helped them achieve their goal. Fun, fun, fun!
