This reader's theater was written for three students but it could be made into four. It was written for Saint Patrick's Day and is based on the legend of Finn MacCool. Finn MacCool is the largest toughest giant in Ireland. Angus is the largest toughest giant in Scotland. Angus challenges Finn to a fight and they build The Giant’s Causeway to make it possible. When Oonagh sees how big Angus is, she know Finn won’t win the fight so she has him dress up as their baby to fool Angus. It works! If you are interested in scripts for Saint Patrick's Day you can buy all six in the package called 'Irish Small Group Reader's Theater Pack' for $12. I write these scripts for small groups to help with fluency. When the group is small, they don't waste time sitting around waiting for their turn and get more time actually practicing. Reader's Theater actually encourages students who are reluctant to read. It is a fun way to get people to practice. You will also notice most of my scripts, including the picture are in black and white. This makes it easier to print and photocopy without too much ink. My name is Melanie Whitesides but I my store name is Wonbyone and I hope that your students enjoy this script as much as mine did. Let me know how things go!
