The Legend of Lightning and Thunder
is a cautionary traditional Inuit folktale retold by Paula Ikuutaq Rumbolt and illustrated by Jo Rioux. It’s a great story to include in a theme with an Inuit or traditional tale focus.
This unit was created to support a single read-aloud book.
Comprehension strategies used in this unit are: Problem and Solution, Connection and Visualization, Summarizing, Compare and Contrast, Questioning, Alternative Endings, Retell as a Comic and Meaning
