This interactive book project is designed to be used with computers, tablets, iPads, Chromebooks, etc., while reading The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies and includes questions, activities, and hyperlinks to outside websites! This resource is aligned with both Language Arts and Math Common Core State Standards (CCSS).
Included are basic comprehension and more advanced critical thinking questions, a figurative language chart to fill out as the book is read, as well as math questions that are integral to the story. Hyperlinks in this document enrich the reading experience and provide additional information for students with links to a variety of sites, both video and informational text to provide the depth and critical inquiry necessary to meet the CCSS requirements. Examples include a video demonstrating how to draw eyebrows to show expression, a financial literacy game that explores the concept of income and expense, and a video that explains how fireworks work. Some links are integral to the document and some are just for further exploration by early finishers.
This is a great way to combine literature, character education, math, and science all in one! My students love it and your smart cookies will too.
