    Description

By itself, The Letter Sounds Made Simple Program offers parents, teachers, and specialists an uncomplicated way to provide multisensory reading intervention for struggling readers in grades 1-6. Bundled with additional resources, the program is an even more powerful tool.

If you help students who have learning differences, including language-based “learning disabilities” like dyslexia, the reading intervention activities within this bundle may soon become the tools you reach for the most. These tools are especially effective when helping students improve the skill of connecting letter sounds to their symbols (a.k.a. sound-symbol association).

    THIS BUNDLE INCLUDES:

Letter Sounds Made Simple Workbook - Level 1

Letter Sounds Made Simple Workbook - Level 2

Video Training for Parents and Educators

Letter Sounds Made Simple Digital Practice Decks – Level 1 Bundle of All 10 Decks

Letter Sounds Made Simple Digital Practice Decks – Level 2 Bundle of All 16 Decks

    The Workbooks

Letter Sounds Made Simple is an easy yet effective multisensory reading intervention program. It consists of two workbooks, Level 1 and Level 2, delivered as pdf files. Print them. Add them to plastic sleeves if you’d like. Use them again and again. The bundled video training for instructors and the digital practice decks for students only make successful reading intervention that much easier.

Workbooks are instructor guided. In other words, children complete each lesson with a parent, teacher, paraprofessional, or specialist (SPED, OT, SLP, Educational Therapist). Work with students one-to-one (best option) or in small groups.

Note: Students should complete Level 1 before proceeding to Level 2. Even students reading above a third-grade level may experience hidden challenges with letter recognition and sound-symbol association. Please begin with Level 1 so you may find and fill those unidentified reading gaps.

    The Video Training

Because each workbook includes very thorough instructions, video training is NOT required. Even so, whether you’re a parent or a seasoned professional, I highly recommend that you watch the included training. Here’s why.

The Letter Sounds Made Simple video training teaches much more than how to help students proceed through the workbook pages in the most efficient, effective, and engaging way. It does more than help instructors begin quickly and with confidence. It offers valuable takeaways for anyone wishing to help students with learning differences break through their reading difficulties.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Which crucial step must come first before any reading intervention efforts will actually stick
    • Where phonemic awareness fits into the big picture of effective reading intervention (plus what phonemic awareness is)
    • What sound-symbol association is and how to know if your child or student needs to work on this
    • Why sound-symbol association can be so complicated for some students
    • How to best implement The Letter Sounds Made Simple Program at home, in the classroom, or via distance learning / teletherapy
    • How to elevate the multisensory component of the program for an even greater impact

    The Digital Practice Decks

Struggling readers can independently strengthen letter recognition, sound-symbol association, and critical reading skills with the help of digital practice decks.

Practice decks are just that, EXTRA practice. Each deck supplements a single lesson inside the Letter Sounds Made Simple reading intervention program. Follow the individual links above to learn more about these decks, and how they’re delivered via Boom™ Learning. You’ll also learn how digital practice gives students a sense of independence, all while one reading victory rolls in after another!

The Letter Sounds Made Simple BUNDLE for Multisensory Reading Intervention makes it easy to keep celebrating those wins!
