My students really enjoy making "flip the flap" booklets.
With that motivation in mind, I designed this "Flipping Over A Frog's Life Cycle"
The "print & go"
activity is a quick, easy and fun way to teach this science
For a bit more pizzazz I run the "flap" section off on a variety of pastel colors, then give my students a choice.
PK kiddos simply color and glue the long life cycle piece, which shows 5-sections under the flaps.
So you can assess comprehension
, give older students the "mixed up pattern", where they cut out each individual rectangle, then glue the 5 stages in the appropriate order.
Take a teachable moment to reinforce the ordinal number words
on the front.
Older students can also label or write "what's happening" in each section.
I've included a full color, completed sample
, so that you can easily make an example to share with your students.
I'm Diane from Teach With Me, hoping your students enjoying making a flip the flap booklet as much as mine do.
