This is a bright and simple diagram with pretty, hand drawn images.
It shows the lifecycle of a butterfly in 4 stages - butterfly, eggs, caterpillar and chrysalis (cocoons are for moths). It features a Monarch or Wanderer butterfly, so should be recognisable just about anywhere. It will also work in well with internet based resources which usually feature this type of butterfly (such as video of them hatching).
This is intended for younger learners - Kindergarten to Grade 3 - though can be used for any group. I have a lifecycle with more information for older students, designed as a printable at:
Butterfly Lifecycle - Growth, Changes and Metamorphosis
You may find that both of these work well together, using the other sheet for information and this diagram as a visual.
I also have a whole activity on parts of the butterfly, to teach basic insect anatomy, which works well with this diagram. Students can not only fill in sheets, but label a coloured butterfly:
Parts of a Butterfly

I will be creating more resources in this vein, so keep an eye out. Better still, why not follow me and get updated straight to your inbox?
