This kit is a private page on our website. It includes printables - templates, activity aids, academic handouts, and more. It's packed with hands-on ways to get into the characters’ shoes - like a "field trip inside the book!"
Written for teachers by teachers, this LitWits Kit is packed with experiential fun! It includes straight-from-the-story activitiy and project ideas, along with handouts and suggestions for thematic props -- all iintegrated with three central "takeaway topics." HOW IT WORKS: The "digital download" purchased here is an instruction sheet that tells you how to access your kit on our website.
Some activities from ALL-OF-A-KIND FAMILY: Your kids can wander through turn-of-the century New York City — the Lower East Side, to be exact, to hear Yiddish music and practice Yiddish words, learn about tenements, Jewish immigration and scarlet fever, nosh on street food, make cleaning an expedition, visit the LitWitz candy shop, write letters to one of the characters, build their own miniature Sukkot booths, design a library book, and so much more!
