Product Description
This resource is a FUN activity to bring multiple perspectives into your classroom and get your students ENGAGED! It can be used with any short story, novel, drama, or poem!

After reading a short story, novel, drama, or poem, the student completes the appropriate application form to analyze the work. The class then partakes in a fun competition. A student or the teacher becomes the poet or the author looking to fall in love with a new story or poem. In order to find his/her new love, the poet/author asks questions to the group. There are three rounds of questioning. Each round will advance those students who had the best answers. The questions will get more challenging through the levels, beginning with concept-based questions in round one to strategic thinking in round two and finally to extended thinking in round three challenging students to see new perspectives. The poet/author will distribute a quill pen clipart to each student who will make it to rounds two and three eliminating at least one competitor per round. By the last round, the poet/author gives just one quill pen to the winner who becomes the literary soulmate!

The application comes in both print and digital versions. The digital version is compatible with Microsoft OneDrive and Google Drive and includes directions for each. A short video tutorial is also included to assist with saving your document to Google Classroom.
