-think of two words, both starting with the letter “A,” that could be used to describe a person who is skillful?*
-find two words, both beginning with the letter “E,” that show how someone could feel?**
-come up with three words, all starting with the letter “N,” that names things that could be placed around one’s neck?***
-list three non-food items, all starting with the letter “R,” that can be found in a kitchen?****
These are the kinds of questions you’ll find in The Little Book of Questions... With Answers on the Tip of Your Tongue. The questions are ordinary, and the answers are common, but thinking of those answers will challenge your mind in ways that you may not have done for quite some time.
The premise for The Little Book of Questions... With Answers on the Tip of Your Tongue is very simple: each page focuses on one letter of the alphabet, asking for answers on a variety of topics. Every answer on that page will start with the same letter. In most cases you are asked to provide two answers; however, at times you are asked for three, four or even five responses. Some answers will come easily and quickly, but at other times you will have to shake the proverbial cobwebs from your brain before you can think of the correct words.
Let your students read the questions, and then see who can come up with the most answers. I’m sure they’ll find that many of the answers are right there “...on the tip of their tongue!”
Get ready to shake the cobwebs out of your brain and have some fun!
