Sometimes little ones can't sit for the whole story before we start working on comprehension skills. I created this interactive book to engage students and focus on WH-Questions that can be paired with the story 'The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid Of Anything' by Linda Williams.
How to Use:
As you read the story, you can stop every page or so and ask the corresponding questions. After students state their answer, they can remove the question mark to reveal a picture of the correct response. This flexible activity can also be used to target pronouns and other goals.
There is also a Build-a-Scarecrow activity. This is great for students to use to target sequencing . They can make their own scarecrow using the items in the order that they appear in the book.
This comprehension book comes with:
-10 pages of WH-Questions ( one question per page ) that follow the story 'The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid Of Anything' by Linda Williams.
- Question mark cover cards
- Build-a-Scarecrow pieces and mat
This activity does not include the book 'The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid Of Anything', it is simply a comprehension companion to it.
