This activity pack (literacy activities are already included in our Letter of the Week for H
) is for the delightful story, "The Little Red Hen", and includes three activities, each offered in either color or black and white.
1. The Red Hen Sequencing Activity: A cut and paste activity. Students can learn beginning sequencing with the story of the Little Red Hen, as they cut and paste the sequence of events in the correct order, as they happened in the story.
2. Simple Writing Sentence Activity: Related to the above activity, students will write a sentence (most of which is already written in dotted letters) about how they will be a help, like the animals learned to be for the Little Red Hen.
3. Chicken Craft: Students will cut out their craft sheet (can be printed in color OR printed and colored by kids) and glue them onto a folded paper plate to create a little red hen of their own. Extra materials required for this craft include glue, scissors, and a paper plate.
Excellent activities for follow up to reading "The Little Red Hen".
